Although he has three sons, Max (Bruno Putzulu), David (Charles Berling) and Simon (Pascal Elbe), seventy year-old Leo (Philippe Noiret) doesn't see them much anymore. Leo is exhausted by their constant fighting and longs for the good old days when they all worked together running the family business. Then destiny steps in and gives Leo a little push; he passes out one day. Just a little fainting spell, but a golden opportunity is born. Leo invents an operation for himself, and exaggerates the seriousness of his illness to a worrisome fifty-fifty odds of survival.
