The town of Quimbly Falls is devastated when their football team, The Buzzards, moves out of state. Seven years later one diehard fan, Charlie Atwater (Ed Asner), decides to take matters into his own hands. Charlie, the leader of the team's still functioningmarching band confronts Robert Blister (Barry Corbin), the despised, greedy owner of the Buzzard's, who sealed the town's fate by selling the team. Charlie devises a devious plot to kidnap Blister and force him to move the team back to its rightful home. Together with his whacko nephew, Johnny Delfino (Greg Sporleder), and a very nervous stowaway accountant, Eugene Cleft (Austin Pendleton), Charlie embarks on his mission with only one intention: to bring the Buzzard's home, and save his beloved band. When Charlie's plan goes awry, Johnny steps in and snatches the Buzzard's star quarterback, Fly Walker (Mark Curry), a cynical, greedy player who's only in it for the money. Thus begins 'Plan B, a scheme so comical its criminal.
