Uganda was the scene of one of the worst
humanitarian crises in the world, where war
continues between the government and one rebel
group. Casting a sharp eye on the politics of war,
the film closely follows the characters on a daily
conditioned by the conflict: a mother turned
activist after the abduction of his daughter, a
girl walking dozens of miles every day to find a
place to spend the night, or a grandmother
sentenced to end his days in a squalid camps.
Without narration, the film gives them a voice
with respect and decency. Catherine Hebert signs
denouncing and aesthetically complete work that
shows eloquently the life of a people facing a
bloody war and a government complacent.
