Walter Pool leaves his mediocre life in the U.S. and travels to Santiago, Mexico with dreams of writing the great American novel. But a robbery leaves him penniless, living in a shack on the outskirts of a tiny mexican village and barely able to cling to his own sanity. Pool's luck seemingly takes a turn when he is given the opportunity that could change his life forever: $100,000 to kill a man.
